Summary of Case:	"Trevor John Momo Wilson was wrongly convicted on July 30, 2012 of two drug counts. After his guilty plea he was sentenced to 2-1/2 years in prison. On October 24, 2012 Judge Simon France ruled that police misconduct was sufficient to stay the prosecution of Wilson's codefendants, against whom the sentence was the same as that against Wilson. Wilson then appealed seeking the quashing of his conviction and sentence. After the Court of Appeals reduced his sentence to nine months home detention, Wilson submitted a request for leave to appeal his conviction to New Zealand's Supreme Court. Wilson's application was accepted. On December 14, 2015 New Zealand's Supreme Court quashed Wilson's conviction on the basis of police misconduct in conducting its investigation of Wilson and his codefendants, and didn't order a retrial on the basis it would be an "abuse of process.""
