Summary of Case:	"Stanley Wrice was wrongly convicted in 1983 of a rape committed on September 8, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois. Wrice's conviction was based on his confession, that he recanted as extracted by the police beating him. Wrice was sentenced to 100 years in prison. Wrice filed a motion for a new trial based on new evidence that Chicago PD police commander Jon Burge had ordered the torture of numerous suspects in many cases to obtain confessions. On December 10, 2013 Wrice's conviction was overturned when the allegations of torture were not rebutted by the prosecution, and the charges were dismissed and he was released on December 11 after 31 years, 3 months, and 3 days of wrongful incarceration from the time of his arrest on September 9, 1982."
