"Kohn and Wriede were codefendants wrongly convicted of burglary in east Manhattan, New York based on circumstantial evidence. In 1929 the New York Court of Appeals reversed their convictions on the basis the prosecution's evidence was insufficient to prove their guilt and ordered dismissal of their indictment.
