"Summer Wright was wrongly convicted on July 13, 2013 of possession of a controlled substance, which was a substance seized by police in Houston, Texas that they believed was Ecstasy. Wright was sentenced to two years of community after she pled guilty. In April 2015 the Houston PD Crime Lab tested the substance and discoved it was not a controlled substance. Based on the new evidence no crime was committed Wright filed a motion to vacate her conviction. which was unopposed by the Harris County DA's Office. The motion was granted on May t5, 2015."
