Summary of Case:	"Chen Zhuohao was wrongly convicted in 2009 of the murder of his ex-girlfriend in Guangzhou, capital of China's Guangdong province. Zhuohao's conviction was based on his confession that he recanted as coerced by his police interrogators. Zhuohao was sentenced to death, but it was later commutted to life in prison. In October 2015 Zhuohao's conviction was overturned and he was ordered released by the Higher People's Court of Guangdong. The Court's ruling was based on invalidated supposed proof of Chen's crime and evidence that he had been forced to confess. The Court cited illegality in Chen's questioning, the incomplete interrogation footage and falsified signatures on his health checks during his arrest."
