Summary of Case:	"Michael Zomber was wrongly convicted on December 13, 2003 of one count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud by a federal court jury in Philadelpha, Pennsylvania. His sentencing was delayed until January 11, 2006 by post-verdict defense motions for a new trial. Zomber's motion for a new trial was denied on August 2, 2005. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison on January 11, 2006. He was released from federal prison on April 11, 2008. Zomber's conviction was overturned by the federal Third Circuit Court of Appeals in November 2008, and the charges were dismissed in July 2009 after the U.S. Attorney's Office agreed to file a motion to dismiss in exchange for Zomber's agreement not to file a claim for compensation under the Hyde Amendment for prosecutor misconduct."
