July 29, 1950 -- Indictment.
October 10, 1950 -- Defense motion for Bill of Particulars denied by Judge Edward Weinfeld.
November 8, 1950 -- Judge Irving R. Kaufman denies defense motion for two-week continuance, and orders remand of Abraham Brothman and Miriam Moskowitz into custody for duration of the trial.
November 10, 1950 -- Judge Kaufman hears arguments on defense motion to dismiss indictment. Jury is selected.
November 13, 1950 -- Opening statements. Testmony of FBI Special Agent Donald E Shannon, and Adelaide E. Lowe and Benedict DeBuff.
November 14, 1950 -- Judge Kaufman denies defense motion to dismiss indictment. In the presence of the jury Abraham Brothman’s July 22, 1947 grand jury testimony, and Harry Gold’s July 31, 1947 grand jury testimony, is read into the record. Elizabeth T. Bentley testifies (direct and cross-examination).
November 15, 1950 -- Harry Gold testifies on direct examination.
November 16, 1950 -- Harry Gold continues testifying on direct examination.
November 17, 1950 -- Harry Gold continues testifying on direct examination until his cross-examination begins (on page 688).
November 20, 1950 -- Harry Gold continues testifying on cross-examination.
November 21, 1950 -- Harry Gold continues testifying on cross-examination (until page 924). Jean Niemaseck, FBI Special Agent Fred C. Birkby, and NYPD Officer Joseph P. Walsh testify as prosecution witnesses. After the prosecution rests its case (at page 943) the defense makes a motion for a directed verdict for Brothman and Moskowitz on the ground insufficient evidence was introduced for the jury to find them guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Judge Kaufman denies the defense motion. The defense calls Benjamin G. Dann and Theodore R. Olive as witnesses,
November 22, 1950 -- Closing arguments, reading of the jury instructions, and the jury returns verdicts of guilty for Miriam Moskowitz and Abraham Brothman.
November 28, 1950 -- Sentencing hearing.
